Taylor Swift will officially kick-off the London leg of her iconic Eras Tour tonight, as the Cruel Summer star treats fans to eight sell-out shows at Wembley Stadium - but is it still possible to get tickets?

Dedicated Swifties have already started queuing for Taylor’s opening show in the capital, with many fans arriving yesterday afternoon in a bid to cop last-minute tickets. Fortunately, one loyal supporter has revealed how she bagged two concert tickets just hours before Taylor stepped on stage.

Helen Derbs took to TikTok, under the username @lifecoachhelen, to reveal how she scooped on-the-day admission for night two of the Liverpool leg, without a code. She referenced a picture of her seats, which were positioned to the left of the end catwalk stage, saying: "There was a slight obstruction on this side, but really it was not an issue at all because she didn’t actually spend too much time on that side of the stage."

Discussing her successful ticket trick, she said: "So we monitored the trends in ticket prices on the Edinburgh show and the Liverpool night one. We looked at the different prices per time of the day up to half an hour before it starts, because I’ve seen some people get really cheap tickets 30-minutes before.

"The cheapest tickets we saw were around the 3pm mark. Now, I bought them a little bit later, I was hoping they would go down the closer I got. But 4pm was my cut off point because I did not want the anxiety. So I paid maybe £40 to £50 pounds more than they were at 3:30pm."

The Swiftie then shared the resale sites that she monitored ahead of the concert, saying: "We looked at all the different resale websites, but StubHub was our only option. Now yes, we did pay a lot more than people would have paid last year but of course that’s just what’s going to happen at a sold out concert, especially when there were only three nights at Liverpool."

She confessed that she paid in the region of £500, but added "it was worth every single penny". Helen continued: "I bought the tickets and within 40-minutes they were transferred over to my name. We went there, we scanned the QR code, it was really easy. We had no queues, and we got there about 6:40pm and went straight in."

The Shake It Off fan then highlighted the safety measures she used to avoid getting scammed, as she said: "We made sure to pay via PayPal and using a credit card that was attached to the PayPal so we were protected if we did get scammed for any reason." However, it’s important to stay vigilant when buying tickets, as scammers have already conned thousands of pounds from concert-goers.

According to PayPal, you should avoid making a transaction through the 'Friends and Family' option, as you will not be protected. They warned: "If a seller is encouraging you to send a 'Friends and Family' payment when you're buying a good or service, you should refuse. You could be dealing with a scammer who knows that your payment won't be covered by our Purchase Protection if it's a 'Friends and Family' payment."

Helen concluded: "So if you do try this, I hope you have the best time." So far, the three-hour shows have been divided into Taylor’s ten iconic ‘eras’, which include 44-songs from across Lover, Fearless, Reputation, Speak Now, Red, Folklore, 1989, Midnights, and her latest album. The final section includes two acoustic surprise songs that will either be played on the guitar or piano.

Other ways to try and buy Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets

Taylor Swift fans looking at resale tickets for the upcoming Eras Tour in the UK can purchase them from from a number of online retailers right now.

Although the above sellers, including viagogo and Vivid Seats , are not "official" retailers, they do have a number of strict terms and conditions in place to keep ticket buyers and ticket sellers safe.

viagogo and resale tickets

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, viagogo also commented: "viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee."
