Kari Allen is an award-winning author and a teacher from New Hampshire. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, John Patrick Green attended the School of Visual Arts and now lives and works in Brooklyn. John is the writer and artist of the InvestiGators middle-grade graphic novel series, as well as the early reader graphic novels Hippopotamister and the Kitten Construction Company duology. He co-writes the InvestiGators spin-off, Agents of S.U.I.T., with writer Christopher Hastings and artist Pat Lewis. Priti Birla Maheshwari

Priti Birla Maheshwari was born in India and moved to Montreal and Toronto. She graduated from the University of Toronto, completed AMI CASA training, and earned a master of education degree from Cleveland State University. She taught at Princeton Montessori, Red Oaks School, and St. John’s-Kilmarnock. Her book Chaiwala! won multiple awards. She now writes, teaches French, tutors, and presents to students. Her Queen Bee chapter book series will be released in fall 2024 and 2025. Priti is married and has a daughter at university.

While writing promotional flyers for Seesaw Book Club, James Preller fell in love with children’s books. He’s worked in children’s publishing ever since, as an author, editor, book packager, and consultant. In 1986, he published his first book, an out-of-print picture book about super-powered trucks, Maxx Trax: Avalanche Rescue! By 1990, James went freelance and has continued to write a wide variety of children’s books, most recently an easy-to-read story for emerging readers, Two Birds and a Moose!, to a middle grade wilderness thriller, Blood Mountain. James is best known for the Jigsaw Jones Mystery series, the Scary Tales series, The Courage Test, Six Innings, Better Off Undead, and Bystander. James has earned more than a dozen starred reviews, four Library Guild Selections, an ALA Notable, 2 NYPL “Best Books for Reading and Sharing,” a YALSA award, a Bank Street College Selection, a CYBIL Award, been named to numerous state lists, and more.
